Paydirt — Privacy Policy

The short version: your invoices, clients, and business data live on your phone, not on our servers. Paydirt has no accounts and no ads, and never sells your data. Two optional features send specific document data off your device — hosted invoice pages and AI drafts. The app also sends usage analytics and crash reports to Google Firebase; your invoice contents and client details are never part of those.

What Paydirt stores on your device

Your business profile, clients, saved items, invoices, estimates, receipts, recorded payments, your logo, and your settings are stored locally on your device. If Android backup is enabled on your phone, this data is included in your device's backup to your own Google account (you can turn that off in Android settings). Uninstalling the app deletes the local data.

Hosted invoice pages (optional)

When you share an invoice as a web link, the contents of that document — including the client name and contact details you entered, line items, amounts, and the payment instructions you configured — are uploaded to our hosting service (running on Cloudflare) so the page can be displayed to your recipient. The page records when it is first viewed so the app can show you a "viewed" receipt. Hosted pages are not indexed by search engines, use no cookies, and contain no trackers. Deleting the document in the app deletes its hosted page.

AI drafts (optional)

If you use AI capture, the photo of your note or the transcript of your voice memo is sent through Paydirt's relay to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to be converted into a draft invoice, and the result is returned to your device for your review. Paydirt does not store this content on any server of ours. The app asks for your consent before the first use of this feature, and it never runs in the background.

Subscriptions

Paydirt Pro is billed through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see your card or bank details. Paydirt itself never processes or holds funds — payment instructions on your invoices point your clients directly at accounts you own.

Analytics and crash reporting

Paydirt uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. These collect device information (such as model, OS version, and device identifiers), coarse app-usage events (for example: an invoice was sent, a subscription was purchased, the AI feature was used), and crash reports. We use this to understand how the app is used, fix problems, and measure our advertising. This data is processed by Google and may be used for ad-campaign measurement. It never includes the contents of your documents: client names, line items, amounts, notes, and images stay out of analytics.

What we don't do

No ads inside the app, no selling of personal data, no accounts, and no access to your contacts, location, camera roll, or microphone beyond what you explicitly attach or record inside the app.

Children

Paydirt is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
